Styling Options
Your Findhorn Car can be built to be as simple as possible or to incorporate a number of options. It is easiest to start at the ends and work in when thinking about this.
 |
LIGHTS
The big main headlights can be supplemented by driving lights, which look great and are a boon if you, like me enjoy the experience of driving under the stars.
|
 |
WHEELS
Whilst the TC looks best with 17inch alloys and low profile tyres, the TF benefits from higher profiles and chrome wheels. |
 |
WINGS
TC says “cycle wings and boat tail”, whilst TF says “swept wings and sloping transom”; but there is no reason why the cycle wings should not be fitted to the TF body. We call this variant the TD. |

 |
WINDSCREENS
Windscreens on open cars are not exactly what their name implies. Yes they screen the wind from the front but they cause buffeting from behind. The aeroscreens usually fitted on the TC actually work better in some respects. They cause a wind shadow, even for a long-shanks like me, and no buffeting. Goggles, or better still a helmet, are advisable.
The chrome plated windscreen of the TF will go on the TC and aeroscreens will go on the TF or TD. The choice is yours.
A folding windscreen is a possibility, but I hesitate to recommend it, both because of cost and the fact that when down there is no protection at all. Yes, you can fit aeroscreens behind the folding screen, but they don’t work so well then. |

 |
WEATHER GEAR
Full weather gear, water tightly fitting to the windscreen is available in a colour and material to suit your car. Sidescreens, wind-deflectors, a tonneau cover and a “hood bag” are all available as part of the weather gear. |

|
DASHBOARD
We can embellish your car with a walnut or carbon fibre veneer dashboard, with as many or as few instruments as you would like within reason!! A variety of instruments are available. Black and white look good in a TC with a carbon dash and cream sets off the walnut in a TF. |

 |
SEATS
Here there are significant differences between the TC and the TF. The reason is that with the TF having an open rear cockpit there are no convenient high level anchorages for the seat belts. So the TF seats are extra strong, and have an integral belt guide at shoulder level.
The TC does not have this constraint and the need for the special seats.
The seats can be upholstered to your choice of leather or vinyl in a colour to suit. |

CARPETS and TRIM
